On 21st June 2023, Freshwater Bay Rotarian Prof Hamid Sohrabi gave a fascinating update on his Alzherimer’s research.
Prof Hamid R. Sohrabi is the Director of the Centre for Healthy Ageing and Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the School of Psychology, Murdoch University. He has two Honorary affiliations as Associate Professor of Clinical Neurosciences at the Centre of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease Research and Care, School of Medical and Health Sciences, Edith Cowan University, and Department of Biomedical Sciences, Macquarie University, Sydney.
Hamid’s research is focused on preclinical diagnosis of dementia, specifically Alzheimer’s disease, and preventive interventions for pathological cognitive decline as well as young onset familial cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA).
