Meeting 1st Jun: Alice O’Sullivan

Alice O’Sullivan, who was the beneficiary of a Rotary Australia Benevolent Society project, attended our club’s first meeting in June to thank us for our assistance over the past few years.

Alice is cerebral palsied and visually impaired; she has been accepted into the Australian National University to join the Law Faculty mid-year. Alice and her mum Jackie are heading to a house in Canberra which has been modified for Alice’s wheelchair and other special needs.

As well as her outstanding academic ability, Alice is also an excellent swimmer, with a dream to compete in the Paralympics. She will also join ANU’s new swimming facility or train with the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.

With the outstanding accomplishments and ability already displayed by Alice, we look forward to following her achievements and wish her will in all her future endeavours.
