With World Polio Day coming up on October 24th, PRID Ken Collins gave us a detailed look at how much of a difference immunisation makes to combating disease before more specifically focusing on polio.
PRID Ken has been involved with Rotary’s Polio Eradication program since 1985, in every aspect of it at District, National and International level.
With only two cases globally so far this year – one in Pakistan and the other in Afghanistan – both in January, Rotary is on the cusp of eliminating this disease, which is fantastic news.
