The rules around DGR endorsement changed last year, and from 14th December 2022 all NGOs had to be registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) to remain eligible for DGR status.
Our Club Foundation, the Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay Charity Fund (Inc), has DGR status, so we have now registered it as Charity with the ACNC.
We received confirmation today that our registration has been in effect as of 1 December 2022, allowing us to continue to offer tax deductible receipts for donations for projects for local people in necessitous circumstances funded through our club foundation.
