This week’s meeting saw the return of Dr. Janice Malcolm, a Rotary Foundation Global Grants Scholar to McGill University in Montreal.
Janice initially undertook a Master’s degree, but was persuaded to stay on to obtain her PhD in Neuroscience, with her area of study being Alzheimer’s Disease.
Janice’s presentation was divided into three parts:
- Her Global Grant Journey,
- Research and implications found, and
- Life in Canada and differences experienced.
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Montreal, she was met on arrival by local Rotarians who assisted her to find an apartment and familiarise her with the banking system. Over the period of her stay she became involved with their projects.
Also in attendance with Janice was Assistant Governor Jeremy and Jeanette Wood from Janice’s host club, Cambridge.
