Our member Lahiru Mudunkotuwa visited his home country of Sri Lanka on 6-12th May on a Rotary Foundation District Grant to conduct a feasibility study to ascertain whether a Vocational Training Team of people trained in first aid and rescue in disasters would benefit the country.
His presentation, as can be viewed below, shows that excellent training is occurring, with death rate reduced to 57 last year due to natural disasters.
However, there are other needs that can be met.
