In collaboration with the Rotary Club Freshwater Bay, APSN Chaoyang School in Singapore along with their CEO Mr Stanley Tang, officially launched the Buddy Bench project on 23rd February 2023, on Rotary International’s 118th Anniversary.
Affectionately named ‘’Let’s be friends’’ by the students, the Buddy Bench hopes to provide a safe avenue for any student who is feeling down, lonely or needs someone to speak to.
The bright and colourful design of the Buddy Bench is the handiwork of the Primary 1 students, who came together and painted it under the guidance of their teachers.
Mrs Angela Lee, Principal of APSN Chaoyang School, shared that she is happy that the students now have an additional avenue where they can express themselves and seek help whenever they need it.
