Interplast sends teams of volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and allied health professionals to provide life-changing surgery and medical training in 17 countries across the Asia-Pacific region.
Interplast Australia was established in 1983 as a joint project between Rotary District 980 and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons to provide voluntary medical teams to carry out plastic and reconstructive surgery in developing countries. Forty years later, Interplast Australia & New Zealand, a Registered Charity with the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission, is actively supported by Rotarians in Clubs and Districts throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay makes an annual donation to support the important work of Interplast Australia & New Zealand.
