The Bloomhouse Projects Dr Ken Collins AO Award for Emerging Artists, funded by Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay, was inaugurated in 2023.
Ken Collins learned piano as a child and used it during his years of study as a break. He enjoyed all kinds of music and was a great supporter of young artists.
Ken and his wife Diane have always given opportunities to young singers and encourage local talent through the Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay.
Even during Ken’s advanced stages of illness, you would often see him at concerts, showing his support from the audience.
