Weekly meetings resumed after the Christmas break on 16th January 2019.
This week Tim Balakrishnan and Jason Loong gave an excellent presentation on the work that they have been undertaking in and around the Palu area of Sulawesi, and what they would like to do to assist the plight of the locals post-earthquake and tsunami.
Also present at the meeting were Greg and Nin Acciaoli, who are also doing work in the area (and gave a presentation to our club about it in December).
We are happy to report that a follow up meeting between these different stakeholders was held on Friday 25th January to discuss how to pool their resources and work together. This has resulted in “Project Palu” being listed through RAWCS, so that tax deductible donations can be made to help support these efforts.
