Our meeting on June 23rd was the final meeting at Moerlina for this Rotary year, as we celebrate Changeover on 26th June at the Holiday Inn City Centre in lieu of meeting on Wednesday 30th June.
Our Honorary Member Graeme Prior was officially welcomed back into the Rotary Club of Freshwater Bay as an Active member by PE Max Hipkins. We are delighted to present you with your new badges Graeme and Fiona.
Graeme Prior, CEO of Hall and Prior Health & Aged Care Group, was also our speaker this week. Hall & Prior is a family owned company which owns and operates 27 aged care homes in WA and NSW. Graeme spoke about the state of the industry, funding expectations in line with the recent Federal budget and the outcomes of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. Graeme is a veteran of the industry with almost 30 years experience.
Also at the meeting were our two National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) applicants, Elissa Campbell and Olivia Dixon, plus our NYSF Staffie Dylan O’Donoghue was also welcomed to the meeting. Best wishes for a successful result Elissa and Olivia.
