Meeting 12th Sep: Award for Dr Raji

For the past four decades, GP Dr. Rajeshwary “Raji” Radha Krishnan has dedicated her life to two main areas: Indigenous and women’s health.

Believing in holistic, culturally appropriate treatment, early diagnosis, timely intervention and ongoing follow up, she empowers her patients with greater awareness of health issues and ownership of the management of their health.

Dr Raji works from her practice in Gosnells, via a ‘Street Doctor’ mobile van, plus for those unable to access either of these, travels to the homes of the elderly and those living a distance from the services provided.

A labour of love in closing the health gap has resulted in improvements in the health and wellbeing of her patients and inspiring other health works to emulate her, leaving a legacy for the improved health of highly disadvantaged, marginalised and vulnerable members of our society.

Dr. Raji is a living example of Rotary’s motto of ‘Service Above Self’ and a worthy recipient of our 2022 Pride of Workmanship Award.
