To celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March 2023, Rotary International streamed the video below featuring past winners of the Sylvia Whitlock Leadership award – including our own Charter President, Di Collins – and announced this year’s winner of the award: Chin Mei Lu of the Rotary Club of Taipei Taimei, Taiwan.
Congratulations to all these amazing women who have had such a positive impact on both Rotary and their communities!
CP Di Collins was the third recipient of this award in 2019. The following year, the current Rotary International President Jennifer Jones was the recipient. The advent of covid then saw this award enter a hiatus until this year.
With our club meeting taking place on International Women’s Day, Di took the opportunity to say a few words about the award. As a past recipient, she was invited to be a part of the selection committee for this year’s recipient.
